Is there a good resource on how perps actually work? i.e a technical specification on how to implement them?

This hostility towards privacy all over the world signals that there is a co-ordinated change happening in the world.

Unfortunately we still don't know what it is or what its goals are.

I’d argue focusing on wealth inequality is precisely the wrong approach. A better approach would be to look at the quality of life of the poorest.

Unfortunately no one cares about the poor.

Inequality is a problem parroted by middle classes mostly due to envy. It has nothing to do with improving lives of the destitute.

Something that is not mentioned: The psychological burden when you check your portfolio multiple times a day.

It can become an addiction akin to sports betting. Your mind is constantly occupied by the market and how it’s going. It takes a heavy attention toll on anything other you want to focus on.

I have learned my lesson. I buy the index and look at my portfolio 1-2 times a year and focus my mind on other things.

I had the same problem so i just built a custom dashboard that only updates my portfolio once a day (at 6:00 am)

>Egalitarian Paxos introduced an alternative, leaderless approach, that allows replicas to order commands collaboratively.

This is exactly how bitcoin works.

Every 10 minutes the network elects a leader to assort & order transactions and also throw out fraudulent transactions.

If he fails to do this, he is not allow to claim his block reward (technically the "coinbase" transaction)

I keep telling people the future of politics is markets & Blockchains.

Its hard to explain comprehensively and what's strange is that no one has written a thorough book on the topic.

I am happy there are people actually writing such material on this topic.

Albeit its a bit too technical.

Computer science is the future of politics & governance. (I don't think AI is any useful but rather distributed systems)

"A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses."

Reminds me of people supporting the senseless bombings and genocide in the middle east.
