How's the "management" software? I'm planning on replacing my aging home router (which now seems to randomly drop signal) with something like a Ubiquti Dream Router, but I've no experience with the brand. As of now, I run PfSense at home (just as a hobbyist and for personal desires), and I'm curious how their offering compares, especially wrt to firewall rules, VPN support, etc.

From what I've seen it looks far more modern.

It's wonderful. I run a UCG Max at home to support both my internet needs and camera storage. Run their other gear in several other SMB environments, including a condo where we're using it for office, building automation, and public area networking along with around 80 cameras. Dead simple to understand.

Crosstalk Solutions, MacTelecom Networks, and Lawrence Systems all do youtube videos on UI's gear and setup - may help give you an idea of the experience before you commit to kicking off your addiction.

Why not add some if statements and save a buck?

I haven't tried Zettlr, so I can't compare, and I'm not here to criticize, but what I miss in many tools in this Market is the ability to install and create extensions. That's why I'm a huge fan of Obsidian [0].

I publish my notes [1] using Obsidian Publish [2], and find the experience really good. I'm able to customize almost every aspect I need to.

There's also Quartz [3] that is a good compatible alternative to Obsidian Publish.

Are you really pimping your 70 EUR Obsidian "starter kit" in a comment? WTAF?

The ad had multiple shots where the creative tools were crushed. There was too much emphasis on destruction as opposed to compression.

Exactly. Had they invoked the idea of a shrink ray and knolled the tiny items, then pressed those into a unified object, revealed to be the latest iPad (with a needlessly spec-bumped processor and inflated price) then it might have accomplished their objective.

Hey HN.

Being a freelance myself for a while I've used dozen of well-known services to run my routines.

I've acknowledged that I don't need THAT many different tools & functions where I just getting lost.

So I created Onigiri, a stupidly simple & convenient invoicing which allows you to create, send & store your invoices easily

Why'd you wrap it in ads?

How does it compare to https://invoice-generator.com/ ? It’s free and it stores invoices in the browser. It’s so simple that I wonder how this solution is simpler.

Why do you keep spamming your scripts? Anyone who cares doesn't need your "help".

> more information is better

Agree.

> gatekeepers are bad

Somebody has to pay to gather, store and present information in usable fashion in order for it to be of value. It doesn't just appear or self-assemble.

The alternative we face may be something like France: buyers pay in time, shoe leather and exclusion from opportunities what they would save in agent commissions.

Sellers also have a strong incentive to make their listings discoverable.
