2nd amendment seems to already been over turned. Children cannot own for example fully automatic weapons. And in some states firearms in general.

The 2nd amendment is very much alive and kicking. Those of us that would like to defend ourselves will fight for 2A.

To your point, children cannot own weapons. Most states are a minimum 18 years old for if not 21.

Full automatic weapons have been banned from civilian production for decades now. Semi automatic weapons are not weapons of war; are not the death machines non-gun owners think they are.

I was very anti gun until we (the wife and I) had a need to defend ourselves. We were literally put in a self defense position. We're both all in now and actively train ourselves and educate ourselves. More so, friends that are anti gun are no longer anti gun once they go to the range with me and are educated on what a semi automatic weapon actually is.

TL;DR - anyone anti gun is simple uneducated in the matter.

As a Floridian and someone in IT - I'm curious how this will be implemented

I can't remember the last time I signed up for a new social network; do they ask age? Is it an ask to Apple / Google to add stronger parental approval? Verify drivers license #?

We heard about this days ago on local news and I've been struggling to figure out short of are you 16 years or older how this is gonna get done and how do you fine someone if it's breached.

Modding phpBB and starting new forums using phpBB (and later Invision Community) got me into php dev and basically the job and career I now have.

Such a great product for building communities. It would be so good having this feeling again browsing forums on this software. The Subsilver theme was iconic and legendary.

Same - started using phpBB in 2000? 2001? Started my career in web development.

Question for this demographic: do you have ethernet near your electrical panel?

I can - easy enough to get a cable there.

+1 for Philips Hue. Almost all lights in the house and landscaping are colored bulbs / strips. Not related to the floaters, but the upper kitchen cabinets have light strips as well as under the bathroom vanity - both tied to their own philips motion sensors. Just make good night lights when you enter a room.

Do you mind sharing the youtube channels which helped you the most?

no one specific that I follow - i just searched google and youtube for "acrylic painting tutorial"

scrolled through until i found something i could do or was interesting.

I didn't start to truly enjoy it until i stopped watching tutorials, took what I learned and made what I wanted to make honestly. But it took the tutorials to gain some skill to do what I wanted to do.

For me it's been art. I started shortly after covid began. I started simple, cheap paint brushes, cheap paints, cheap canvases. Watched youtube videos (there are tons of tutorials) and tried. I post all of mine to instagram. It's fun to look back at how it began and how it's going. I got bored with it for a bit, then got back into it earlier this year. I changed my format. Still acrylic paints, but now I get 2ft x 2ft sheets of drywall from lowes precut, use drywall plaster or tile mortar (both have different effects) and brush the acrylic on or airbrush it on.

It's to the point where I have to either start rotating out pieces or attend an art show and try to sell some. Just running out of wall space in the house. To attend an art show means I think my work is good enough that someone might pay for it and same as with programming, theres some imposter syndrome happening here.

We'll see...
