From Firefox the *.sqlite db gets backuped daily into Syncthing. Sometimes, just in case, I'll export and backup them manually as json as well.

What is the point if there are people on many streets with CCTVs doing drugs openly. I saw a cop simply walk by someone overdosing. Nothing will happen.

Again, what is the point exactly? Can anyone tell me?

(Again, what is the point of the down-vote? I am asking for people's thought and opinions in the hope of a fruitful conversation).

One doesn't do drugs. One consumes or sells them.

Next time do HN better :)

Isn't UK a democracy? Why then have the people not rejected the initiative? Ah, right - they haven't even been asked.

No it isn't. When you deploy it as a noun, referring to the specific country, it needs the definite article. Some nouns, you can do without - but this noun, you can't.

If I go find "UK" without "the" in any English newspaper or article, will you send me $10k?

If there exists a rule that allows an omission of "the" for "UK" in certain context, will you send me $20k on top?

If you aren't able to prove that in this context I speak formally rather than informally, and in the latter "the" may sometimes be omitted, will you send me $30k on top?

Like China.

And of course the ban does not work even in China.

Like UK itself. Isn't UK an independent country?

The man has forgotten that those LLM models don't grow on trees in nature, freely available to anyone.

Don't be a sucker - go create your own model, train it for hundreds of millions of dollars. With your own money - you aren't a sucker to borrow from anyone. Fine tune a model, train it again.

Only then, when and if you're get done, will you be able to claim "I'm not sucker, I don't rent anything. And you shouldn't too!".

Until then, no model is yours. Even if you run it locally, you're inevitably engaging in renting it, if not for money directly, then for knowledge and expertise of those large companies. The ones that've created them for you. With an option to utilize them for free, locally.
