Watching football this fall, I've been thinking about a little box that sits on my table and mutes the TV whenever an ad comes on.
Not decoding HDMI HDCP or anything, but a webcam + AI or whatever that watches football with me and mutes ads. Similar to plane detection, maybe. Are there any projects like this?
Usually football trasmissions have identifiable elements in the screen, such as the score, the match title, etc... and those are fixed elements that do not appear in ads. For example: https://i.imgur.com/blebca8.png
Or the title bar below. You could do some basic OCR on a Pi, when the team names are readable, keep the volume up, when they are not, disable it.
Layoffs are bureaucratic in Spain, needs to be approved by unions and sometimes government too (EREs) (1)
Considering how lowly paid SWEs are in this country, I'd imagine the company would be better off keeping them on payroll.

Skydio 2 drones were prone to failures and it made cops be afraid to fly them.

I'll stick with GoPro even though Insta360 has provided me with their cameras. GoPro's official APIs are just too good to switch.

I want to visit this so bad.
Scaled down a few instances to save a few bucks while traffic will be down due to protests, calculated wrong.
The SRT logs from DJI are a god send. I wrote some software that helps me deal with importing videos and photos from multiple action cameras and drones, and it uses DJI's SRT files to sort out the location of a video. https://github.com/KonradIT/mmt
I was laid off in December last year. Looking back, it was clear why, I was the youngest member of the team, had the least experience and was struggling to pick up the new tasks assigned to me with the limited knowledge I had about the product and its underlying tech. I don't think my performance was judged too harshly or it was a major contributor, rather my superior had to make a layoff happen in the team, and I was the one with the least time in the company and least proven experience.
So the other driver also had the same glitch happen to them?

Maybe the other guy's car was left unlocked and the app just unlocked his car, which was left unlocked after the main guy drove off with the other guy's car?
