Hello, original author here. I was delightedly surprised to see this game got attention. I believe I referenced https://wcdf.net/rules.htm when writing the game. The game has been updated. If a piece is clicked and has no moves, pieces with moves are briefly highlighted.

I was about to comment saying it was broken and forces you to jump. But it turns out I've just been playing checkers wrong my whole life.

Are single-quotes allowed in the spec?
There is an explicit call out for "double quote == bad", but single quotes are also valid property delimeters in HTML.
Base-122 encoded strings may contain single quotes but not double quotes. The choice between the two was arbitrary.

Almost a perfect standard, but the prepended one byte header is a mistake IMHO. It makes it impossible to encode when the input size is unknown. Better to encode whether the last chunk is one byte or two at the end of the stream.
Please whoever is involved with this, revise the standard to not have a header and call this existing spec a beta. Otherwise, good work.

I thought the same thing. Although it is unsettling to see how copyright infringement is turning into witch hunts this was still probably the funniest thing I've read all day.
