hash part of url only available in the browser, as far as I know, server doesn’t have access to # value
jamesdwilson · 3 months ago
very easy for the server to intentionally (or by compromise) add a one liner to send the hash text up.

that C is annoyingly O-ish, and the blurring... feels almost like its made by an anti-optician
jamesdwilson · 7 months ago
it was derived from eye charts that are explicitly designed to find defects in your eyes - it is not a coincidence the O and C look similar.

Like for a dev server? Are you using a file watcher? I also find a test watcher helpful to increase confidence in the agents changes.

Recently, the cursor agent panel supports multiple tabs and sometimes I use that to kick off multiple non conflicting agents. You may prefer a separate window. Further, to avoid file conflicts completely, you could use a git work tree.

Yes a dev server. I can use a file watcher and on the JS side do the automatic page refresh there too, but was curious about local options. I haven't tried Cursor.

I've been hoping for Mapbox or ESRI to come out with something robust for this!

This is going to be especially useful in vacation planning. :-)

We're already using ChatGPT and other tools to help plan a vacation overseas, but having good mapping data can help an agent figure out things like "does it make sense to go from A to B by car or train?"

With the right metadata, an agent can churn not only on the actual route planning (for a multi-city itinerary), but also things like "near this AirB&B, there are 5 public parking lots, so it'll be easy to park your car, if you do rent one"

I'm excited for this sort of spatial data to help with things like travel planning, or even "sprinkle these 5 errands into my calendar based on where you know i'll be"

can you please elaborate on how this will be helpful for vacation planning? maybe i lack imagination.

They spelled Len's name wrong in the credits. :/
jamesdwilson · 10 months ago
You might be right, but keep in mind actors often adopt variations for their names and may not even be consistent.

Amazon receives inventory directly from manufacturers. Third party sellers are significantly more likely to sell counterfeit products

Same reason you’re not likely going to find counterfeit goods on the shelves of a Target or Costco

jamesdwilson · a year ago
they have a history of "comingling" goods that claim to be from the manufacturer but sometimes are not.

I guess there's more to it but, if you have to do all this work on lots of the backgrounds of images.. shouldn't the assets be separate in the first place? I know that's not always the case but.. IDK seems kind of contrived.
