Some popular in inner city: Tanto strandbad, Långholmsbadet, Smedsuddsbadet, Fredhällsbadet, Kristinebergsbadet, Brunnsviksbadet. Plenty of folks swim during hot periods in summer.

Yes, we went to Tanto but considering how much water that Stockholm is surrounded with, I can’t say it’s very accessible. That is also the view of some friends living there.

In Stockholm, you can swim in most of the city center - except where the large ship lanes are. Thousands of people out swimming on a hot summers day.

I have some questions on this.

Living on west coast of Sweden, our family went to Stockholm this summer and as the temperature rose, we asked were to go and swim and basically no one knew and we didn’t see people doing it either.

Why do we always have hardening guides? Ain’t there any OS where an easening/loosening guide is needed instead?

So our small company has like foo-bar.com Foobar.com has been occupied for a long time, there’s nothing there and they do not respond to our emails either.

This has been the case for a few years now, I guess it works but ideally we would really like the one without the hyphen

groundthrower commented on Ask HN: How small startups deal with long security questionnaires from clients?    · Posted by u/make_it_sure

Use them to start to build some standard policies for your company - there are also some certifications that are very light weight and will get you into a shape where you have answers to most of the questions already (e.g. in the UK you can do Cyber Essentials).

Build up a database of the questions and your answers so that you already have most of the answers close at hand.

Unfortunately it's a cost of doing business and as someone else pointed out. If you've reached the stage where IT is sending you questionnaires you are probably very close to closing the deal.

The size of the deal should make filling these things in just an inconvenience.

We just did the Cyber Essentials as we have no certifications and a customer in UK required this. Then we thought we could go ahead to get the Cyber Essentials Plus as well. At least we can now say we have had a cybersecurity audit from an external party - hopefully it will put some more trust to these endless questionnaires.

Huge enterprises are often made up of thousands of sub-domains with relative freedom to choose different technology.

It's actually useful to remember if you're a start-up chasing a contract with an enterprise. You might bend over backward accommodating BigCo to get their name on your books thinking you'll make it huge once "they" start using your technology only to find it never actually gets further than 2 people in Sub-Department-Offshoot, and while you might get to use that fancy logo on your marketing material, you'll wonder if the concessions and vastly undercharged overwork was really worth it because the payday of actually having BigCo use your tech throughout their stack never materialised (because it never really does, but it'll be endlessly dangled in front of you to get you to agree to put in a bunch of features for free).

Have cycled from Northern Europe to South Africa, crossed Europe several times and also crossed US, New York to California. Best way to experience a country.

Don’t have time? Try to do a quick one and turn it into an adventure. One of my most exciting trips was going from Southern to Northern Europe in just a week.

I recommend to pack lightly, and don’t spend to much time planning on gear and routes - just do it otherwise you’ll risk to postpone it again and again.. just do it.
