I do not think this is a viable excuse any more.

I am just editing docs now that Claude Code writes for me. I am fanatic about developer docs (and I guess an exception as I love writing them) but with a set of concise instructions for CC and some writing style examples I get 90% there, sometimes 99%.

If you believe you don't have time for the last 1--10% you should not be in charge of writing any API used by anyone but yourself. Just my two c.

I don't want to read ai slop comments. If you cant be bothered writing docs, I cant be bothered learning to use your library.

So in the limit the models representation space has one dimension per "concept" or something, but making it couple things together is what actually makes it useful?

An infinite dimensional model with just one dim per concept would be sorta useless, but you need things tied together?

My most recent ai related peeve is people releasing some ai tool and claim that it's "democratising x". "democratising art", "democratising education" -- yeah giving all your data to and relying on a centralised model run by a fascist mega corp is so totally democratic. Maybe can't blame them -- that is what they actually mean based on "democracy" in the US etc though.

You trust a model to trade for you?

Here [0] is a funny paper where a group of llms attempt to manage a vending machine. It ended with them trying to contact the fbi.

The posthuman.blog domain name was registered yesterday on April 12, right when this post was written - https://www.whois.com/whois/posthuman.blog.

And this is the second of only two posts there, with the first supposedly being written in July of 2022.

All of this leads me to a reasonable suspicion that this person is actually the one who made the post they're complaining about.

20 year old games don’t work on modern windows that well at all, so that’s one counter example, so not sure where the point comes from.

Maybe the botnets can start fighting each other, eliminate the drifters to maximise inputs for slopclips

Wonder if meta et al buy these kind of services, they already steal so it’s not a huge step

Ye ai/ml was a neat piece of tech; it is intellectually interesting to try figure out what it learns and how it learns; and there are maybe valid uses, but capitalism and worse has utterly consumed it.

I don’t have the words to quite describe it all, the farce of it. Then you get people that talk about alignment, how can anything “aligned” be built on such a foundation.

What’s the end goal, a techbronocracy worshiping a fake god

Calling yourself the “thin blue line” like a reference to police really doesn’t seem like a way to have an enduring community. Police don’t serve the community; I guess they think in the same way then.

Why not just go with the old thing of treat the space appropriately and don't be a nuisance to neighbors. Really this sucks -- peasants are not allowed to gather in groups larger than 5 -- corporate landlords are a blight.
