Reminds me of the TechCrunch episode of Silicon Valley TV show. Everyone was there to make the big buck but all collectively pretended they were doing their work for the good of humankind.

This guy and Rob Pike should have a talk.

Why Rob Pike in particular? Most stuff I've read from him was nuts-and-bolts technical.

Trump has pardoned literally dozens of Medicare fraudsters [0] (Lawrence Duran and Philip Esformes are two of the biggest ones, but there are a bunch more smaller ones), and also fired ~20 people who were attempting to investigate Medicare fraud.

I haven't seen any HN articles about this, never mind getting to the HN front page twice a day, so I'll take your retraction and apology now.

What’s your definition of white?

It must be so convenient to have one overarching theory to explain all of the complex geopolitical and socioeconomic phenomena in the world, and it just so happens to be something that’s easily observable!

God I would love to have a beer with someone like you for once, and just have an honest conversation without you feeling pressured to lie about what you really think. It would be so interesting to me. Similarly for flat earthers.

Might ask him to apply his theory to the Balkans War. Murderers and victims alike having been white, all of them.

Only through the first two paragraphs but a little turned off by the "everybody else is wrong, we are right and it's this one specific thing" attitude when it the topic is understanding something as complex and opaque as the global economy

I'd vote for Firefox blocking all AI-generated content.

IMO, hard to do, though that would streamline browsing and up the quality of it.

Cheers.

AI detection vs. "humanization" has been an arms race for some time and will continue so, for at least as long as students want to cheat on essay composition tests.

So any such blocking feature would produce both false positives and false negatives. Complicated by existence of pages that commingle organic human content (possibly plagiarized) along with AI slop.
