Very pretty website. I really like the transparency for the nav bar. I would like to emulate this style in my own website. I wish I knew how to add texture to a website that makes it feel unique and not flat. Perhaps I should look into 3d postprocessing effects and how to apply that to a 2d website

Go look at the code! it's just a right click > inspect away.

And you'll see you just needs a single CSS property `backdrop-filter: blur(8px);` to achieve this effect nowadays =)

Slightly disappointed when I saw the png files in the repo as I was hoping to see some cool Math function to generate the clouds

From the author of threejs, an awesome webgl library:

> Since Jobs did not understand Raskin’s color scheme, he had an artist alter the work, unfortunately, for the worst. Left side, rigid coloring. Right side, chaos.

Interesting to see another datapoint on how an awful asshole of a boss Jobs was.

From this new vector format it should be simpler now to restore the original colors envisioned by Jef Raskin

After the events of 9/11, the skies were empty for a few days

> During the three-day commercial flight hiatus, when the artificial clouds known as contrails all but disappeared, the variations in high and low temperatures increased by 1.1 degrees Celsius (2 degrees Fahrenheit) each day, said meteorological researchers.

I don't know of any country in the world, developed or not, that has static IPs for residental home users. It's a waste of IP addresses.
esquevin · 2 years ago
In France I've had a static IP for years.

The french internet provider free.fr used to do this by default. I'm using another one nowadays which also let me have a static IP https://assistance.free.fr/articles/disposer-dune-adresse-ip...

How is that pure CSS? Doesn't show anything with Javascript disabled.
esquevin · 3 years ago
The 3d rendering is purely CSS based and not webgl in a canvas.

A nice and well done puzzle, congrats =)

You could maybe add some kind of visual validation when the proposition entered does not equals the expected amount.

Maybe adding the "= 23" at the end of the (current) line could be a good visual clue that the equation is supposed to validate this.

Not to invalidate the author's enjoyment of his own purchase, but it would be nice if he clarified which computers he had owned in the past
