I usually find Claude to be my favourite flavor of LLMs, but I still pay for ChatGPT because their voice offering is so great! I regularly use it as an "expert on the side" when I do other things, like doing bike repairs. I ask it things like "how do I find the min/max adjustments on my particular flavor of front derailleur", or when cooking, and my hands are dirty, I can ask stuff like "how much X do I usually need for Y people", and so on. The hands-off feature is so great when my hands are literally busy doing some other thing.

I really wish Claude had something similar.

tl;dr

OpenAI and Microsoft define AGI as AI software that can generate at least $100 billion in profits.

To others like me who don't know what this represents, $100B profit is approximately Apple.

Oh my lord is this really so hard to figure out? An entire generation built their retirements off of home values and will do literally anything in their power to vote down literally anything that threatens that home value.

They’re going to drag down the next two or three generations with their idiocy.

Unless they receive a compensation during this transition to a housing system without land speculation, where the value increase is fixed at a specific point in time and you get it only when you sell.

In the coming years, the human values taught in these AI children books will be picked by an AI to fix the most pressing current and foreseen issues in society (eg. individualism, environmentalism).

In the following decades, parents might be less relevant in children education, sometimes even harmful.

Good, now enjoy the lack of a citizen's dividend as your hard work pays income taxes which improve the infrastructure around you and thereby increase the value of land which in turn must be paid to the owner of the land through higher rents and mortgage payments. Pay once for the infrastructure, pay again to be allowed to live near it.
eraserj · 4 years ago
Publicly funding a private land is another way of describing renting, as there never was citizen's dividends in the first place.
