I have such fond memories of Graphite's simplicity. Simply hit the server with a metric and value and BOOM it's on the chart, no dependencies, no fuss.
Just expose a way to explore hierarchies and measures, give me an ability to generate "alternate hierarchies" then let me run MDX and leave me alone! ORM and OLAP don't belong in the same sentence together.
I was reading an article last week where the author did a bunch of testing and found Redis is only 3-5x faster than just using a multi model NoSQL. Basically it rarely makes sense to use Redis.

Short sweet and to the point. Why isn't this a button in the bios, naturally hidden behind a few levels of menus? "Defrag your NVRAM" Other than power failures what would other failure modes be? I guess if the NVRAM has bad cells? Guess it's easier to just reset the whole BIOS whenever there's a problem?
