...that's not really an illustration of that. When you actually consider population and land size, the numbers don't seem so strange.

Just looking at wikipedia population and area (and a very simple scaling)

   % area housing = area_house * population
So...

    aus 0.08%
    nz 0.42%
    us 1.82%
    can 0.08%
    uk 2.14%
The UK has comparably _more_ of it's land covered with housing than the other nations mentioned.

When you consider population density, UK >> US >> NZ > Canada > Australia.

You would _expect_ countries with much more wide open space to have bigger homes, and the other nations homes aren't so big _when you consider their countries' size and population_.

it's not only the area of land but the material's used in the housing, as well as when the housing where built.

The stagnation in other countries housing markets like the us is interesting, I don't know the answer but have they ever had social housing on the scale of the uk?

Most manufatures that used TrackPoint's in the past positioned them wrong... Too low or high within the keyboard or the buttons were in uncomfortable positions.

I would say mainly IBM and Lenovo have the positioning correct as well as on some models TrackPoint buttons.

So if you had tried most of dell's attempts and tought it was useless, that's because it was even though its a simular implimentation :)

I would certainly buy a Thinkpad T14 with the classic keyboard layout << T420 >> in a heart beat... << even if it had to be thinker >> standard price not x2 mess that was the Thinkpad 25.

(( I currently have 6 working thinkpads ))

There’s a weird disconnect because on the one hand I agree you can’t measure productivity and on the other hand we all know that some engineers are vastly more productive than others. So what gives?

a weird disconnect... of any true innovation or even reality... such vague objectional blandness...

"They'd beg to work for us" - what the f8ck.... if they were the best they would not beg anyone how degrading...They would be there for a mission or wanting to improve something about themseves or other parts of the world.

There's nothing here apart from Agile coach wanting to get some more work.

1984 was released in 1949, if anyone thinks these words / values really mean what is writen wow. People, Internal Quality, Lovability, Visibility, Agility, Profitability...
