I'm using Firefox and the links were activated when I hit enter in the quick-find prompt. Not sure why the behavior is different than what the author is seeing.

If you want to use Starship, but disable nerdfont and the language features leaving things like git, duration, error, etc., use this config: https://github.com/dannyfritz/dotfiles/blob/e53d410364bf6e2f...

I don't think we've really seen many successors to LoDash other than Ramda because the platform now has many of Underscore's functions built in.

Expanding on pjmlp's comment [0] buried in this thread:

    export MANPAGER="nvim +Man!"
Using Vim's built in ft-man-plugin [1] as the default man pager seems to go pretty far towards resolving what the author is complaining about.

Links work, and it respects the indentation when soft wrapping lines. It isn't doing full reflow or regenerating the page, but it maintains legibility while soft wrapping, and messing up indentation is my main annoyance with less... You can improve less by chopping lines -S by default, but then you have horizontal scrolling so neither is great.

[0] In Vim, you can use K to open a man page for the word under the cursor

Thank you for this. This is actually quite marvelous.

Here is what I'm using for fish:

    if type -q neovim
        set -gx MANPAGER "nvim +Man!"
        # abbr --add man --set-cursor "nvim \"+hide Man %\""
    end
I can finally retire fisher and decors/fish-colored-man.

> Individuals with economically left-wing and culturally conservative attitudes tend to score highest on conspiracy thinking.

Because conspiracy is usually committed by right-wing individuals?

dannyfritz07 · 5 months ago
I identify as far left and am always scratching my head over conspiracy theorists in my realm. I get tired of hearing about vaccines, 5g, and wifi when I just want to improve the economic and material conditions of people.

Violent reaction to conspiracy I think remains in the far right camp I believe though.

China already did a project like this to move water from the wet part to the dry, because their leaders were eager engineers and wanted to do it. Turns out that the wet part isn't making enough water to the dry part now because of climate change. Same thing would happen here. The rockies already create a rain shadow over the great plains, there isn't a way to get water from the other side of the rockies, because that is what it would take. and Cali has been in a drought for along time too. There just isn't water available.

eBird offers a good sound or image quiz. You can choose the location, time of year, and rarity of the birds it presents you in the game. https://ebird.org/quiz/

Pixel owner here. Lately my phone been very slow or acting out. That explains it. Last year or few years ago, Google released update that broke Bluetooth on Pixels. Google's team released the update, broke things, went out for extended Christmas break and fixed things a few months later. I'm not fan of the Apple phones and the fact that they cost a fortune, but I don't recall them putting out hardware breaking updates.
dannyfritz07 · 2 years ago
FYI, my pixel 5a phone has also been really slow and acting out in the last month. Crashes and extreme sluggishness in apps. Sometimes when I pull up the app-switcher, I can't get out of it without rebooting the phone.

I however am not on the Jan 2024 Google Play update detailed by this article. I am still on the recommended Nov 2023 one.
