Agent Skills let you extend Codex with task-specific capabilities. A skill packages instructions, resources, and optional scripts so Codex can perform a specific workflow reliably. You can share skills across teams or the community, and they build on the open Agent Skills standard.

Skills are available in both the Codex CLI and IDE extensions.

Hello, I'm one of the engineers who worked on the incident. We have mitigated the incident as of 14:43 PT / 22:43 UTC. Sorry for the trouble.

Can you divulge more on the issue?

Only curious as a developer and dev op. It's all quite interesting where and how things go wrong especially with large deployments like Anthropic.

Standard internet outrage bait. There are no ads in the photos. The person uploaded their photo to Meta AI's "imagine me" feature which generates photos of you in exotic situations, and now the company is...putting them in exotic situations. That's literally what it is for.
dan_wood · a year ago
Yeah not seeing it either, both images say, only you can see this..

Feels more like it generated more than the user asked for and now it’s just showing those images in their feed.

As an Australian who has driven in the US. I miss this so badly… Although for us it’ll be left on right.

Being upside down doesn’t help either.

It's so sad that we need this. Consumers were all allowed to have their own phone number -- why can't we all have static IPs?
dan_wood · 2 years ago
IPv4 availability is low, IPv6 isn’t implemented everywhere.

My ISP don’t hand them out and charge per IPv4 if you want static at a lovely $10 per month. And they don’t have IPv6 implemented..

Fond memories of using DDNS on old Netgear routers at home in the aughts and port forwarding services with some rudimentary firewall rules and tcpwrappers to try and lock down access.

Now I use a combination of Tailscale[1] for private services only to me and Tailscale Funnels[2], and Cloudflare Tunnels[3] for public service exposure.

This accomplishes the same thing I was doing with DDNS and my ISP IP, but in a much more secure and stable manner.

Since you’re already using Cloudflare why did you choose tailscale over Cloudflares WARP?

You need a country with strong consumer protection laws, such as Australia. In NSW, I’d go straight to the Department of Fair Trading, and they’d fix the issue.

You don’t even need to go that far in most cases just mentioning it would get you on the right track.
dan_wood commented on Ask HN: What is the most impactful thing you've built?    · Posted by u/rafiki6

I guess my most impactful project was a microprocessor-based weather station for siting wind energy systems and fruit frost prediction in the early 1980s. Turned out that one of my stations, being used by a frost predictor, was across the street from a rural drainage ditch in which a young child was discovered face down in the water. The frost predictor faxed temperature profiles for the previous several hours to the hospital, where doctors determined the child could be revived. She was.

That’s amazing.
