Is this doing local inference? If so, what inference engine is it using?
ccbikai · 2 months ago
Currently using the OpenAI API to access multiple models. You can use ollama to access local inference models

Skimming the source code I got really confused to see TSX files. I'd never seen Ink (React for CLIs) before, and I like it!

Previously discussions of Ink:

Many CLI applications are now using Ink to write their UIs.

I suspect React will eventually standardize all UI writing approaches.

It’s not clear from the README what providers it uses and why it needs your GitHub username.

Connects to any OpenAI-compatible API.

Using a GitHub username prevents abuse.

I'm curious - the female voice is definitely AI.

But is the male voice AI? There are a few ums and ers there ... and why would you record an AI voice too close to the microphone, so every time they say a plosive, it sounds bad?

ccbikai · 4 months ago
The male voice is also artificial intelligence

His Chinese voice effect is not as good as Minimax.

You can use Hacker Podcadt to compare
