cat_plus_plus commented on Shamelessness as a strategy (2019)   nadia.xyz/shameless... · Posted by u/wdaher

The implicit assumption of this article is that ideas approved by current members of community are good and ones expressed by the "shameless" outsider are bad. This would, for example, automatically invalidate Pride movement without considering merits of it's goals. It would be more fair to say that regardless of merit of ideas, stating them directly and forcefully despite community pushback can be a valid strategy to attract new members or shift Overton window.

I make videos of burning foods like jelly beans for fun, with the idea that if something catches fire easily it's probably not good for you due to calorie density and low water content and, by proxy, lack of nutrition and unnatural components like petroleum based vax. For example, honey will not ignite unless dehydrated first.

I primarily care about individual users and developers of my stuff, not "the society" and as such make it easy for them to use my code in any project, even closed source commercial one. The exception is 3D models where I don't anticipate commercial uses and if there are I want them to talk to me and maybe pay me some money, so sharealike it is.

If your vibe coding prompt generated a 1000 line output, you should probably ask if there is a library that would do that for you. If not, library is not worth it to shorten a one pager.

as I understand it, populism is when you exploit 'popular' causes to get a mass backing to bring yourself into, and to stay in, power. It is opportunistic, 'goal justifies means' philosophy.

So, you don't really have orinciples or a cause, apart from 'I should be in charge'. It also means voters, if they are capable of judging that, cant really trust you, because you will switch causes whenever it suits you.

In my own country, I could name politicians who always carried the same color as the reigning political movement, and who would switch when the winds change, because their real principle was 'be on the winning side'.

This has an obvious aside of letting voters try whatever a large majority want to be tried, for example scaling back globalization in at attempt to prioritize material and psychological well being of citizens. This could well backfire and voters would then want something else, which turncoats will happily endorse. The alternative is that we can't get to something else because it has no popular support yet.

How do glp-1 drugs such as semaglutide, terzepatid and retatrutide impact apoptose?

"Tirzepatide promotes M1-type macrophage apoptosis and reduces inflammatory factor secretion by inhibiting ERK phosphorylation" [1]

They tell your brain you have lots of food in your stomach, which triggers lots of behavioral and metabolic changes. This does not necessarily reverse every effect of obesity, maybe not gene expression changes described in this article. But enough to keep weight off with ongoing treatment.

Why would it take longer to phase out ultra processed food than to supposedly phase out gasoline cars? 2032 is a whole generation lost from now.

Could you imagine how the entire world would look if they took truth serum for an entire year, how different the world might be?

Lies run the planet, and it stinks.

Of course it is. Knowing the events shaping your world have repercussions on your personal decisions. What should I eat? What should I learn? What career should I embark upon? What should I invest in?

To think that you can shield yourself from the world is one of the biggest yet most foolish ideas of individualistic cultures

I am keeping up with my steady tide pod diet, learning about how much God loves me, training to be a YouTube influencer to make thousands of dollars per month without leaving my home and investing in helping a Nigerian prince move his funds out of the country. Yet I still feel there is something missing. Which Gab group would you guys recommend for knowing the truth about the events shaping my world that they are hiding from us?
