People fetishizing costs. It is like a sales guy saying "I spent $5k on flights this week, aiming for $20k next week" ... "well OK good for you!"

I've just been discovering this pattern too. It's made a huge difference. Trying to get Claude to remote control an app for testing via the various other means was miserable and unreliable.

I got it to build an MCP server into the app that supported sending commands to allow Claude to interact with it as if it was a user, including keypresses and grabbing screenshots, and the difference was immediate and really beneficial.

Visual issues were previously one of the things it would tend to struggle with.

How does it compare to my goto: a test suite that uses Playwright?

Now now... Let's be fair...

Radio broadcasts to everyone.

Light you can block off to a single direction.

Oh wait, directional radio antennas exist. Nevermind, yes. Exactly like radio waves.

Almost like its all electromagnetic waves

It's amazing how pretty much every reply to my original comment has failed to comprehend that I was not criticizing globalization. Whether it's even possible to get to where we are without it is also debatable.

But the question you're asking me is meaningless, because the premise is wrong. My original reply was true and entirely independent of my or anyone else's opinion of whether globalization is good/bad.

Your comment was technically true but I don't get the point of it.

You do realize helium is a byproduct of LNG production and if you’re not pumping gas you’re not getting helium? It’s not a transportation issue.
behehebd · 2 days ago
But that isn't even the issue. Drone attack on the plant that produces it. So even with the input materials. No dice for now.

Step 1: Put the helium in a blimp Step 2: Fly around the straight and over to Taiwan Step 3: Pump it into the chip factory

There you go, solved it.

You can therefore stick a sim in a dumb phone. And still jave a desktop smartphone for any bank or service that demands an app.

By using a monitor you psychologically change the device from a time sink to a tool.

> Only a receiver with the right equipment can pick up the hidden message.

So all an eavesdropper has to do is setup the right equipment then? I guess it is only invisible until the technology becomes more widely available.

behehebd · 3 days ago
As invisible as radio signals then.
