Can someone let me know if they also find the existing UI prompt unbearably slow? At first I thought it was my browsers but I am having the same experience on every machine. It's so bloody slow with loading responses, freezing and even giving me the old browser tab death warning "Cancel or Wait"

I think the title should be the “Re-Militarization” of Silicon Valley, bc that’s where it all came from anyway (as the title describes).

This works very well, been doing it for years. Even works flawlessly for me on Windows using the iCloud client.

Really, how? When I add a new page on my Windows client, it never reaches my phone and is stuck in some weird refresh icon state.

I tried this on a windows laptop and another main machine. I just ended up keeping my iPad nearby.

AI is like a giant calculator you need a formula to make it work for your usecase
asciii · 21 days ago
That's a great analogy. I recently read about integrating AI similar to the use of calculators in math class -- learn how to do the basic operations first +,-,/,* and then use calculator to scale so you get some theoretical grounding

Kudos Catriona Drummond for letting the secret out of Brisbane, and perseverance to become a visual artist. What really attracts people to Bluey is the art. Seriously, it can be on mute and it's mesmerizing (not that the music is not awesome, because it totally makes it 10x better, too).

The artistic mature here is also off the charts, to recognize that innate sense of what makes things amazing:

> Appeal is such an intangible element to visual art, I could try and harp on in some pseudo-scientific way about what I personally think creates that deep satisfaction when viewing something ‘visually appealing’. I think there’s a whole weird matrix of things firing off in our monkey brains to illicit it. But I’ll just leave it at: we know it when we see it. I wanted to make something that was truly delicious to look at.

Great write up OP!

Your analysis is thorough, and I wonder if their reduction of processes from 33 to 20...(WOW) had anything to do with moving telemetry logic elsewhere (hence increased endpoint activity).

What does Bytedance say regarding all this?

Volvo may not want to replace the car for the guy...but from a marketing standpoint, they truly picked the wrong hill.

The site is very nice and pretty thorough.

Makes me not want to get this car or any Volvo!

This sounds terrible if they're just taking management and key employees?

Imagine backing this startup and the founder team takes a parachute...

i live in puerto rico. I talk with my luma friends all the time, we need baseload. We need more gas. We've made huge investments in solar that have been destroyed by hurricanes and are a huge waste issue.
asciii · 2 months ago
i got really tired of Luma and after the new year blackout i jumped ship to windmar. i'm fairly rural so it's actually decent and in a good spot where other neighbors have fared well during hurricanes.
