> so you need to tell them the specifics

That is the entire point, right? Us having to specify things that we would never specify when talking to a human. You would not start with "The car is functional. The tank is filled with gas. I have my keys." As soon as we are required to do that for the model to any extend that is a problem and not a detail (regardless that those of us, who are familiar with the matter, do build separate mental models of the llm and are able to work around it).

This is a neatly isolated toy-case, which is interesting, because we can assume similar issues arise in more complex cases, only then it's much harder to reason about why something fails when it does.

Exactly, if an AI is able to curb around the basics, only then is it revolutionary

The day an AI answers "Drive." without all the fuss. That's when we are near AGI ig

Another company jumping on the bandwagon to data-farm in the pretext of safeguarding children. I really wonder if there's an actual method to actually safeguard children while also not holding on to data. Because, genuinely, you can't question this.. Companies would just say "we are trying to protect kids" and that'd be the end of the argument.

Hell no. There's so much friction in setting up OpenClaw to be able to utilise it efficiently. Then the security concerns. I'd in no way want my daily driver to do something with my data that I didn't want it to do.

Agreed. There's only so much a probabilistic model can do. It's all the effect of the copious amount of data it's fed, none of it is its own generated intelligence and somehow majority of the world doesn't seem to understand that. Generative Intelligence is NOT the future.

I can imagine Musk selling these very models with AI slapped onto them and call it revolutionary

In the early 2000s Wikipedia used to fill that role. Now it's like you have an encyclopedia that you can talk to.

What I'm slightly worried about is that eventually they are going to want to monetize LLMs more and more, and it's not going to be good, because they have the ability to steer the conversation towards trying to get you to buy stuff.

I can envision this as being in the boots of Truman from Truman Show where some advertisement is thrown at your face randomly
