not to be a contrarian but i think apple will be the only tech giant standing after the inevitable ai winter, simply because they were too stupid to figure out how to integrate ai with their ecosystem.

i am almost the exact same but its more like 20 years for me. its not like i can't code, but i have never built anything. i have used python for my grad studies so i have some level of comfort with it and can do data related tasks to some degree in it. but i have never built anything.
there is this huge like "potential well" that becomes almost impossible to leap over.

okay, I am not a systems level programmer but I am currently learning c with the aim of doing some gpgpu programming using Cuda etc., what is a tile level gpu kernel programming language? and how is it different from something like cuda?
I know i can ask a llm or search on google, but i was hoping someone in the community could explain it in a way i could understand.
there isn't any real difference between 4 and 5 at least.
edit - like it is a lot more verbose, and that's true of both 4 and 5. it just writes huge friggin essays, to the point it is becoming less useful i feel.

what I'm seeing is that profs in the gulf countries are collaborating with profs and groups in third world countries where they are throwing money at the profs in the third world, who are doing all the work but don't have the funds to get published in these "prestigious journals"(its called the third world for a reason), so all these people get authorship for free.

Ai is not far away from dropping to the “trough of disillusionment” and I can’t see why databricks even needs Postgres.
Hopefully I’m wrong as I’m a big fan of databricks.
