Now you just need to vibe code it into agentic solution and sell subscriptions to it!

I find it interesting that so many services and tools were investigated except for embedding models. I would have thought that's one of the biggest levers.

they just grabbed the better one (3-large) right off the bat. 6x cost to 3-small, but it's still tiny.

Philosophically, the only was to see BIAS is to have BIAS. Completely unbiased person will not see BIAS in anything.

So, who are the judges?

I fear the conceptual churn we're going to endure in the coming years will rival frontend dev.

Across ChatGPT and Claude we now have tools, functions, skills, agents, subagents, commands, and apps, and there's a metastasizing complex of vibe frameworks feeding on this mess.

Right.

I focus on building projects delivering some specific business value and pick the tools that gets me there.

There is zero value in spending cycles by engaging in new tools hype.

I wonder if these things read and decode QR codes on cars?

Then you may stick QR code on bumper pointing to web page you control and track when something hits the page.

AI is just a helpful tool.

Ages ago someone surely cried that cars will cause our legs to disfunction.

Hey, creator of Browser MCP here.

1. Yes, the extension uses an anonymous device ID and sends an analytics event when a tool call is used. You can inspect the network traffic to verify that zero personalized or identifying information is sent.

I collect anonymized usage data to get an idea of how often people are using the extension in the same way that websites count visitors. I split my time between many projects and having a sense of how many active users there are is helpful for deciding which ones to focus on.

2. The extension is completely written by me, and I wrote in this GitHub issue why the repo currently only contains the MCP server (in short, I use a monorepo that contains code used by all my extensions and extracting this extension and maintaining multiple monorepos while keeping them in sync would require quite a bit of work): https://github.com/BrowserMCP/mcp/issues/1#issuecomment-2784...

I understand that you're frustrated with the way I've built this project, but there's really nothing nefarious going on here. Cheers!

When people see “I collect” they won’t even bother reading further.

This is showstopper.

Noble reasons won’t matter.

Spyware perception.

Trias11 commented on Need help to identify if a provided credit number is real or virtual    · Posted by u/grahamgooch

A virtual card is just as legitimate as a physical card. The numbers are just account ids basically. In my business, I setup virtual cards for many vendors.

Sounds like you're trying to detect fraud. There are fraud detection platforms particularly designed for checkout fraud. Instead of re-inventing the wheel with a theory you have, I would look into some of those solutions that are fairly robust taking into account many different factors and often data from across merchants.

I agree. Working in a fraud space myself.

Typically the ones who cares about virtual vs. physical cards are the questionable vendors trying to push shady, automated, hard-to-cancel subscription services or alikes to customers.

Virtual cards are designed just for this purpose - to let consumers gain upper hand in shady business practices.

Deeply embarrassing and disturbing. What a sad spectacle to see the President and Vice President of the United States so beholden to a foreign dictator that they would debase themselves in this way. Unpresidential doesn’t even begin to describe it.

My heart breaks for Ukraine. The outcome of the November 5, 2024, election will prove to be a tragic mistake.

Which outcome would not be a mistake?
