Across ChatGPT and Claude we now have tools, functions, skills, agents, subagents, commands, and apps, and there's a metastasizing complex of vibe frameworks feeding on this mess.
I focus on building projects delivering some specific business value and pick the tools that gets me there.
There is zero value in spending cycles by engaging in new tools hype.
Then you may stick QR code on bumper pointing to web page you control and track when something hits the page.

1. Yes, the extension uses an anonymous device ID and sends an analytics event when a tool call is used. You can inspect the network traffic to verify that zero personalized or identifying information is sent.
I collect anonymized usage data to get an idea of how often people are using the extension in the same way that websites count visitors. I split my time between many projects and having a sense of how many active users there are is helpful for deciding which ones to focus on.

Sounds like you're trying to detect fraud. There are fraud detection platforms particularly designed for checkout fraud. Instead of re-inventing the wheel with a theory you have, I would look into some of those solutions that are fairly robust taking into account many different factors and often data from across merchants.
Typically the ones who cares about virtual vs. physical cards are the questionable vendors trying to push shady, automated, hard-to-cancel subscription services or alikes to customers.
Virtual cards are designed just for this purpose - to let consumers gain upper hand in shady business practices.
