Why not engineers? I've definitely never had a harder time getting interviews, though obviously anecdotal. Or do you just mean that the scope is larger than software eng?

i think they meant that the people they know having trouble finding jobs are not engineers

This stuff makes me paranoid about posting my projects here and everywhere. Don't want to be seen as advertising my code...

it's one thing to openly self-promote your project, and another thing to have created multiple accounts that spam links to your project on a weekly basis

just a meta note that the submitter, aanthonymax, likely only posted this to launder karma to avoid being shadowed for spamming their github project. a quick look at their post history shows that they only post links to their github project and then occasionally extremely low effort random mdn or other useless links to try to balance our their account. their previous account was shadowed for basically the same thing

I love hummingbirds. Before I got a hummingbird feeder they seemed like an ultra exotic sort of bird I could only see very rarely for a brief instant, but now with a feeder I can see them several times a day. Sometimes they even watch me back through the window. Remarkably aware for such tiny animals.

I have a feeder right outside my home office window, next to where my desk is. I see them all day and it makes me happy.

I actually put up one-way/reflective film on the window to block some harsh light that was being reflected straight into my face and it had the great side effect that the hummingbirds can't see me watching them. So now I can get right up to the window and watch them hang out.

It's fine to dislike the guy, but stock options aren't the same thing as a salary.
