I love Ghostty, especially the UI is so much nicer than Kitty. However, for some reason ghostty sometimes has severe issues with dealing with SSH connections. The terminal is like broken and wrongly displayed and you can't properly type something. Therefore, I still use Kitty, especially for SSH connections. I don't know what `kitten ssh` does, but it makes my terminal work with SSH.

Motion Canvas is a mature / popular solution in the "manim but typescript" space for those unfamiliar.

It can be used for interactive blog posts and embedded animations etc as well.

It also has a built in animation editor / timeline.

How easy is it to replicate manim's style using motion canvas?

Perhaps it took a while to figure out how to do it over HTTP, especially the security stuff.

With e.g. tmux you'll piggyback on decades of SSH development.

> SSH development.

Or Mosh, just like OP said. Mosh handles interruptions much better than SSH does

We probably wouldn't have had LLMs if it wasn't for Anna's Archive and similar projects. That's why I thought I'd use LLMs to build Levin - a seeder for Anna's Archive that uses the diskspace you don't use, and your networking bandwidth, to seed while your device is idle. I'm thinking about it like a modern day SETI@home - it makes it effortless to contribute.

Still a WIP, but it should be working well on Linux, Android and macOS. Give it a go if you want to support Anna's Archive.

Myzel394 commented on GrapheneOS – Break Free from Google and Apple   blog.tomaszdunia.pl/graph... · Posted by u/to3k

I've been using GrapheneOS for about 3 years now. For the most part, it works very well. I don't have any issues with banking apps, nor any other closed source apps. I'm using two profiles both with sandboxed Google play installed. I'm logged in into my private Google account on the work profile.

However, there was one case that lead me to thinking about ditching grapheneos to this day. I installed Uber on my phone and I was able to successfully create an account and use it. When it came to booking a ride, the app crashed and I had to log in again. Once I did that, I was told that my account has been suspended for violating the terms of services. All I did to that point was creating an account and booking a ride. I was able to resolve the issue luckily after a few days and going back and fourth a couple of times with the Uber support, however, the risk of getting banned on any such platform is still risky, and thus I'm not sure if grapheneos is usable if you need to use such services.

While on the subject, does anybody know any good ad-blocking solutions for mobile phones?

So far I have experimented with NetShield from ProtonVPN and https://nextdns.io/ with varying results. There are also features baked into certain browsers like the cookie blocker with DuckDuckGo which works extremely well, and UnTrap for Safari on iOS which allows for heavy Youtube web customisation.

Also, shout out to Playlet on Roku. A privacy focused YouTube proxy for the TV which blocks ads and even can identify sponsors, filler and credit segments and allow you to skip these.

I am not involved in any of these projects, I just think they're cool.
