It's incredible how quickly TBC lost the interest of a _lot_ of (mentally) invested users. From a tool that a lot of people swore by and absolutely loved, to a new product that I honestly feel a little embarrassed about.

Seems Obsidian Web Clipper is a good alternative, it can save as markdown so you own the data offline. Anyone tried it? What is your experience?

It isn't available on mobile AFAIK, which is like my primary use for pocket etc., saving links to later read on my laptop

Something I've never understood about text embeddings is how they work with multi-topic documents.

I mean, I can imagine text embeddings in a 2D plane. Documents about lions and documents about tigers are close together, as they're both big cats. Documents about bears are relatively further away, forming a triangle with two long sides and one short side.

But wouldn't a single document about lions, tiger and bears end up at the middle of the triangle? And wouldn't that mean that when a user searches for lions, the document about tigers is closer than the document about lions, tigers and bears?

You're thinking in human dimensions. With so many dimensions available, it might be the case that one dimension represents the "animal" dimension, and the others represent other features. Oversimplification obviously!

What is the use case of minio? Typically server disks are much more expensive and turning it into s3 compatible storage doesn't seem like a good way of utilizing it.

We use it as for on-prem deployments where cloud deployments use S3, also useful to spin up for local dev with Vagrant

My guess is they give artists exposure in exchange for a share of the profits through their channels. I don't know if they can monetize the free stream on YouTube, but they also stream on payable streaming services and sell albums on Bandcamp.

They do sell merch, although I don't know how much that's likely to bring in
