Careful what you wish for, or we might get AI-powered "Vibrant Story" filters that reduce 62 minutes of plot-less filler to a 5 minute summary of the only relevant points. Or that try to generate some logic to make the magic in the story make narrative sense.
Just so you know, this is already very much a thing on TikTok: AI-generated movie summaries with narrator voice explaining the plot while showing only major beats, reducing movie from 2h to shorts totaling 10min.
It’s honestly not the worse AI content out there! Lots of movies I wouldn’t consider watching but that I’m curious enough to see summarized (eg a movie where only the first title was good but two more were still published)

Exactly this. Word by word. Some of my OSS projects got popular accidentally and oh boy… pain in the butt for real.
And for little benefits to myself. Hitting HN front page or r/programming was nice for my ego. But that’s about it.
Exactly - best case scenario is Reddit/HN front page with a cool project you enjoyed working on, have some nice conversations there, reach a few 100s stars which look good on your CV, and that’s it.
If you expect more long term support you better be paying me for my time.

Author here. I wrote this because everyone is talking about Claude Code right now and it's all over my timeline. Claude Code has this effect where you KNOW it's good but can't quite say WHY.
So I spent the weekend digging into the DX decisions that make Claude Code delightful.
How much AI did you use to write up this article? It tripped up my "fake AI-written article" detector a few times despite being interesting enough to read to the end

May I ask, what is this obsession with targeting the browser? I've also noticed a hatred of k8s here, and while I truly understand it, I'd take the complication of managing infrastructure over frontend fads any day.
