I wrote this, which might be a bit helpful: https://github.com/karpathy/llm.c/blob/master/doc/layernorm/...

But if you don't have the background, I'd recommend my YouTube videos, see the Zero To Hero playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMj-3S1tku0&list=PLAqhIrjkxb...

Start volunteering at a farm on weekends if possible. If you like it, get your own land and start a small hobby farm. You can even start associated processing business or shop.

The context is UPI ... has reached volumes of 10 lakh crore rupees per month

1,000,000 * 10,000,000 => 1E13/mo rupees => $125,000,000,000/mo

Google, Facebook, Amazon, Walmart are all shareholders in the parent company that runs UPI along with some 19 other Indian banks.

MAMAMassakali · 4 years ago
UPI is owned by NPCI(National Payments Corporation of India) which in turn is owned 67 share holders. Top 10 share holders are major banks and they hold around 80% shares. Other owners are smaller banks, other non banking financial institutions and Google(GooglePay), Amazon(AmazonPay), Flipkart/Walmart(PhonePe) etc.

> Tricks that use entanglement to instantly send information generally involve collapsing the state of the distant particle (by measuring your own), and assuming that the person in charge of that particle will somehow notice. Unfortunately (and this is the answer), there’s no “new-particle-smell” for particles that are still in superpositions and there’s no big flash when that superposition collapses. If you measure an electron’s spin the result is simply “spin up” or “spin down”. That’s all you get. But that doesn’t tell you what the state was before, or if the original state was a superposition of several states, or even if the particle was entangled with something else.

> If you only have access to one particle, then the two situations, 1) the other particle is inaccessible or 2) it has been quietly measured, are indistinguishable in every physical sense. Regardless of whatever else is involved, you can never notice the weirdness of entangled pairs until you directly compare them with each other.

From the complementary states of the entangled particles we know entanglement happens. But then how do we know that the collapse and "de-entaglement" happens instantaneously if we can't determine whether superposition collapsed or not?

Isn't collapse of entanglement itself useful information or is it not possible to notice it on the entangled particle?
MAMAMassakali · 4 years ago
Yeah, I too want to know this. If we know that the collapse has happened, then it can be used to infer that someone has tried to measure the other entangled particle. Can this be be leveraged or my understanding is wrong?

I have schizotypal personality disorder. For me it feels like a collective, kind of like the borg. I say "me" or "I" when communicating externally, but all thoughts are actually communicated as "us". All entities speak with the same voice (what most people think of as their inside voice), but each one speaks differently, with a different pace/tone, and has its own personality, thoughts, and desires. There are a handful of dominant ones that sit in the captain's chair so to speak, and they all have a say in how we behave externally.

For example one of us is a pacifist, another one loves to socialize and party, one is cautious and anxious, the other very confident, and there's one that has a severe thirst for violence and blood-lust (this one we work hard to keep in check). I've literally been in fights where immediately after knocking my opponent down, I ask if they're ok and then help them back up and let them go. Then there's hundreds of transient entities that are usually clones of personalities observed elsewhere (movie characters, celebrities, or other influential people). These transient types will actually adopt the mannerisms, voice, and even accent of the personalities and display them outwardly! Makes for very weird interactions with family and friends lol.

I've yet to see anyone on reddit or elsewhere with this description of the disorder. The closest thing is DID or maybe even borderline personality disorder (which is on the same schizo spectrum), but there's no disassociation with what I have, we're all fully aware of what the other is thinking.

EDIT: added further clarifications on the differing voices

My pet theory for gravity / general relativity (which is probably completely wrong, but fun to think about), is that space itself is created through particle interaction. Space will thus be denser and create a gravitational effect in places with lots of matter.

That means space also has to decay. And unless you want space to become non-existent far away from matter, the rate of decay must also fall off somehow as you get further away from matter.

I wonder if you could get such a space creation/decay process to match a curve that's 1/r2 at short distances and 1/r at long distances...

But aren't particles emergent property of space wave function collapse?

I had terrible experience with projects outsourced to india... But on the other side I got amazing experience with indian talents... hired at European salary level like rest of the team.

I'm now hiring more and more dev from India and they are in the top performers tier from my team. Just don't try to pay them peanuts... And respect them as any other good dev from western countries.

I see this happening all the time, majority of the people working in service based companies are bad at all the steps of development of any kind of software project. But there is an other side to it. Form a long time I am trying to get into consulting, companies don't want to see the background of us(devs). Majority of the times there is no response or they want to see some "white papers".
