How would you clean prions off surgical devices? This isn't a case of workers not bothering to use soap, you know.

High energy ultra violett light? Yes, it destroys plastics- and only reaches surface layers. But if you get it to the evaporation stage and keep it up long enough - cleansed is cleansed.
