Sure, might not be the absolute best price of the year, but it's a decent price for everything all at the same time, with the odd bigger ticket stuff if a real deal exists.
This year I bought a lot of household items, toiletries and even a few food cupboard items, all of which according to price tracker plugins are about the lowest they get to, even if they go that price sometimes throughout the year, it's a great time to do one big shop and not have to deal with the pain of receiving so many deliveries.
I don't see it as an issue, what amazon does is what everyone else does on their sales, you just need to do your research and stay aware, like with anything.
can I get the sources of your rumour please? (Yes I know that I can search it but I would honestly prefer it if you could share it, thanks in advance!)
To be honest, I hadn't heard that elsewhere, but I haven't been following it massively this week.
Very unfortunate the current state of Apple could have been so much better. They finally have the resources to stop worrying about the bottom line. Instead all they cared about are their bottom line now.
And they are about to loss the $20B annual profit from Google.
I have been waiting for GPT 5 to hit my account and kept asking it the model, it was 4o until this morning.
Then this morning it said it was GPT 5 and would I like to code and design a stress test for it to compete against 4o, it kept assisting this was something I should do even though I didn't ask and then kept skirting around it when I told it to do it, before it realised it couldn't.
Here in the UK, I'd much rather just cut my diet a little bit. Faced with the choice of eating less or paying around £250 a month for the maintance dose, that's actually a huge motivator to get me to diet.
Now I work in corporate IT and all the desktops are being replaced during the next upgrade cycle. The desks have docking stations and everyone has a personal laptop that they can use for WFH or the office.
Personally though, I prefer a desktop at home, I like to sit at my desk and use a big screen to get stuff done, if portable, a laptop is too annoying and I usually only want to look up stuff or view content, so for me Desktop + iPad is the best combo.
It’s a machine and a tool, not a person and definitely not my friend.
A group of people seem to have forged weird relationships with AI and that is what they want. It's extremely worrying. Heck, the ex Prime Minister of the UK said he loved ChatGPT recently because it tells him how great he is.
