The 3nm chips in the M3 are rumoured to bring about a 30% improvement in power efficiency. If I wasn't moving towards using an Android for everything, I would definitely think about selling my M1 for that sort of improved battery life.

Would like to hear more about using Android for everything!

This is the most obvious practical application of my PhD topic. A Bose Einstein Condensate is an extremely sensitive detector of gravity- a nuclear submarine could use it to make an ultra-accurate map of the world based on variations in the gravitational constant g. This would remove one of the primary reasons subs need to surface , in order to GPS lock.

It’s a naval chart that would not require surfacing.

A French postdoc in my lab swore this was the moneymaker for our entire subfield, and it seems he was on to something …

The majority of INS platform drift is from a thing called "tilt error" - where the IRS initially misjudges the exact direction of the gravitational vector during alignment. All this will do is improve the accuracy of the accelerometers but will still have the drift caused in the INS itself. How will this make such a large improvement over what we have already?

Why don’t criminals just meet in person to swap public keys and use email to mail each other encrypted messages?

Survivorship Bias. The criminals that are doing this are not getting caught, so you don't hear about it.

The only thing I'd suggest to consider to add is some sort of authentication. If I deploy this on a server so I could reach it with my mobile, on the go, and it has my API credentials, I wouldn't want anyone who stumbles upon the page to be able to interface ChatGPT on my expense.

Otherwise, it really looks good.

I was in Nazaré a couple of weeks ago and I loved it. While the waves were not gaint (100ft) they were around 20ft one of the days and this still really allows you to appreciate the power of the ocean. I really liked the town - nothing is better then cheap coffee and Pastel de Nata. It's certainly worth a visit there :)
