Does anyone else wonder about this?
I often think about this one thing: Nobody knows what the hell is going on.

We randomly spawn on a giant rock that we call earth and float through what we call space.

Everyone just pretends that that's somehow completely normal and lives their lives ignoring the apparently infinite sky right above their heads. Everyone gets lost (and probably should get lost) in daily life, never thinking about how crazy it is that you somehow have two hands and walk on meat sticks we call legs. To me, this is just strange.

Nobody I have talked to about this seems to be able to relate to this view, which is also very strange to me.

So my question is: does anyone else wonder about this?

You are not alone, it is absurd. The meaning is what you make of it.

I recommend reading Carl Sagan for the cosmic perspective and embracing the awe.

It's worth adding, that while it is indeed all arbitrary and we are cast here without rhyme or reason, not everyone is born with the same lot in life. I also recommend reading Angela Davis for the perspective of systematically oppressed people and their struggles for liberation.

For me, when I do get lost in similar thoughts, it helps me to ground in my actual experience, and especially in what I can do in the short time I've been given to ponder to help others make their lives better.

I would say a large chunk of humanity has thrived just wondering about similar existential questions.

How did we end up understanding as much as we understand until date about the human body(nature and life in general), psychology, philosophy, the universe, celestial bodies and so much more? That list just goes on.

I think questions rooting to curiosity of similar notes & flavours are the cause of all the science, maths, technology and all other such progressively expanding domains.

Yes, I think about it almost every day.

It’s always baffled me that everyone else seems to either not care, or to be able to stuff this question deep into the backrooms of their mind and never let it surface.

To me, it’s absolutely mind boggling that NOBODY understand why we’re here, what “reality” is, etc.

The ultimate question is - why does anything exist?

For a very deep philosophical exploration of that question, see the first chapter of He Is There And He Is Not Silent, by Francis Schaeffer.

Not sure I understand this.

I wouldn't have to be (satisfied).

All the time!

Existence exists and life (consciousness) exists to experience it.

Relationships.

That’s way “it’s all about.”

Relationships create more probability in the Universe, rather than everything merely winding down. More than an expanding cloud of fire and cinder anyhow.

Your relationship with yourself, your environment, others, and your works is more universe than without.
