A funny story from when I worked with a geologist. On vacation, I found a cool looking rock on the beach, kind of sandy-looking, with green crystals in it. I brought it to the office and asked about it.
I heard him say, “this rock is nice,” which I thought was rather nonspecific. Seeing my confusion, he clarified: “g-n-e-i-s-s.”
What a well-written piece. She sounds exactly like a person who "...finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything"
WOW!
