Merging multi-viewports but not docking (when they're both in the same branch) doesn't sound like fun, but I guess the code is largely separate.
I can definitely relate to concerns about new features attracting new users with less expertise and more questions; it's something I've directly experienced, albeit on a much smaller scale.

I guess I should be happy that there are 13 somewhat enthusiastic contributors, but for a project as worthy as dear imgui, I feel a bit sad instead.
