Whoa, I just tried Marginalia, and it reminded me of how search used to work years before. It was quite pleasant.

It's nice to see new domains in the top list

I have wanted to write a very similar article to this, but regarding the accuracy of various search engines and LLMs in returning factual information quickly. I've done my own quick tests to evaluate all the different engines, and have found that just for factual information retrieval Google is actually better than most other options out there.

Off topic, but I just realized this with this post: how come the tl;dr often ends up at the bottom instead of the top?

I would find it a lot more convenient to see it at the top to read it and decide if I want to keep reading the full article..

I really like this style of writing, lead with the conclusion. Then elaborate on why. If someone isn't interested in what's being said, then you'll save them the time, and readers often ironically have a higher amount of patience with meandering text if they understand what the payoff is going to be than if they aren't sure where you're going with it.
