Ask HN: What are your favorite conferences?
I'm hoping to attend more tech conferences in 2024 due to an increased company learning budget. What are the tech conferences that you've attended/watched online that come to mind and that you could recommend?

EuroRust and CppCon are fantastic. If the budget is generous enough then I'd recommend mainstream ones like NDC, Devoxx, or Strange Loop.

Also, I've recently come across a newsletter that scans YouTube for newly uploaded conference talks and then sends them out in a weekly email. They maintain a list of conferences they're monitoring that is quite comprehensive. The newsletter is called Tech Talks Weekly and the conference list is here: https://techtalksweekly.substack.com/p/tech-conferences

Sadly, Strange Loop's 2023 edition was announced to be the last:

I've been following Strange Loop on YT for so many years. That's really bad. Any idea what happened?

I've followed the Strange Loop conference on yt for a long time, and your mention led me to search more about it. Just found out the 2023 edition was the last one. Sad to see such a nice gathering not having another edition.
