Bootstraping a company like Facebook without any external funding?
i have a question, can a company like facebook if its started today from scratch can be bootstrapped without any external funding ever?

Facebook wasn’t bootstrapped though. Indeed early facebook was the poster child for VC growth style companies. So I’m really not sure what you’re asking here.

Hi thanks for the comment, i am basically trying to find if we start a social networking company as of today like facebook, will it be ever possible to be bootstraped compleltely without external finding, or do we require funds to start such bussiness model company

the twitteresque counter.social social network is run by one guy, has been operating since 2017, and afaik the bills are paid simply through crowd funding.

In that light, I'd say that whether you can avoid investment capital in favor of a 100% bootstrap model is entirely a function of your ambitions.

Octopus Deploy was bootstrapped (and profitable) from 2012 until its first funding round in 2021, which is a pretty good stretch. https://venturebeat.com/business/devops-automation-platform-...
