I haven't figured out Texinfo 7.0 but I got 6.8 installed using NetBSD pkgin and I can produce Chinese script writing on output formats: info and html, but not pdf. I sent an email to the East Asia Institute in the hope they know how to integrate Chinese TeX and Chinese fonts for the GNU Texinfo project.

Absolutely nothing, and proud of it. This is not a week for getting things done.
