Noted management consult Nathan Fielder had an excellent idea to fix the computer repair business by hiring only asexual technicians. At least they wouldn't want to search your files for nudes.
15 years ago I was a PC repair guy. It was common enough for people to leave their porn on their desktop. I had laptops brought to me that had the customer naked as the wallpaper. I also had many customers with animal porn that even paid me to specifically backup their "special files".
In my experience, I did not need to be a creep while fixing computers, the customers did that for me.
Years ago, a flatmate - a girl even - told me about a friend of hers who repairs computers. According to that guy, about half of all women have nudes of themselves on their computers. And, obviously, the guy was speaking from experience. So... yeah. Don't trust the computer repairman with your data.
A recent example of this happening to a high-profile individual comes from the Hunter Biden laptop scandal ([0] is a relatively neutral explanation of what happened). Without litigating the contents of the device or what it means about the Bidens or any of that stuff, it's nuts that the son of the President of the United States thought it would be safe to just leave his personal laptop with some schmoe indefinitely. If it hadn't been confirmed by lots of media outlets, I'd have trouble believing it.
It should go without saying that if you are a public figure of any sort and you'd like anything about you to remain at all private, you should absolutely never do this.

One of those customer testimonials a place should advertise on.
