Well, what is the best we have done? My top nominations would be something like:

- James Webb

- Hubble

- Boeing 747

- The transistor

- Mars landers

- Apollo

I see that these are mostly space-based (my bias), so perhaps people could suggest more terrestrial ones?

Some of the most complex machinery ever conceived, built in different countries, launched to the most inhospitable environment, and all those pieces had to work together the first time they touched.
