Now I'm curious. How does BSP encode the orientation of a plane wrt its normal?

The normal is the orientation

Is there any explicit reason as to why RWLock can’t simply try to upgrade the read-lock to write-lock given they’re both being held by the same thread?
webkike · a year ago
Would be much more expensive to implement. RwLocks are basically Atomics wrapping a pointer and have no knowledge of who has acquired the lock

I personally find actors in rust to be too much of a head ache. You might as well use Erlang (or elixir) and do your heaving lifting in rust with somethign like https://github.com/rusterlium/rustler

With the setting off, there are no margins. How is 0 too large?
webkike · a year ago
Try putting one window on the left half and one on the right half. There will be a pixel gap between them in the center and one on the top between the window and the top bar. 1 does not equal 0

Margins can be turned off in settings.
webkike · a year ago
Even with the setting to turn them off, they are too large

It’s better. But not great. The margins are far too large, and resizing is pretty poor.

If it was (more) moderated it would just be sterile, boring, and less true to reality. The entire point is to label areas with the most obviously applicable stereotype, and for that it's doing a great job.
webkike · a year ago
Guess what? It’s still boring

A female octopus will try to eat the male octopus, so the intelligence is not at empathy or morality levels.

Okay, but maybe they deserve it? Hard for me to tell since I’m not an octopus

Have you tried the keyboard shortcut listed next to the Go -> Enclosing Folder menu item?

Wow… this sucks

Glad to see someone go deep on this in a way that I've felt while using it but was unable to fully articulate why it's so bad.

Again, I'll keep saying it, I'm not the biggest Apple fan in the world, but however many Gnome devs in a trenchcoat will never equal a Steve Jobs and it's weird, borderline pathetic, for them to keep trying -- when all they end up doing is changing things for the sake of changing them.

I have actually had more problems with the Mac OS finder then I have the gnome one, and all of my problems stem from answering the question “how do I go up a directory from where I am?” Never bothered to figure out the actual right way. Might be easy. But hard to figure out
