In and around NYC, i don’t think this would work. The most dangerous drivers are so flagrantly reckless (street racing, running reds, swerving through bike lanes or sidewalks, talking back to cops). It’s hard to imagine them responding well to a warning like this

NYC feels like a free-for-all nowadays.

Post-Covid I see the following every single time I step outside.

- stop signs are optional

- gas powered mopeds in the bicycle lanes

- e-bike Citi bikers being riding recklessly

- bicycles on the sidewalks

- NYPD nowhere to be seen.

According to a recent Freakonomics episode, educational campaigns don’t work. What does work? Traffic cameras.

What might also work? Sending their info to their insurance company. I would be in favor of this. I don’t want to be in the same risk pool as these recklessly dangerous drivers.

Traffic cameras are easily beaten by tinted license plates. I see them often in NYC.

Question for car owners with massive screens in the console who live in rural areas:

Does the ambient interior light from the screen + dashboard overpower your ability to see the road at night?

I started a business over the last week and I

Rapidly iterated domain names with chatgpt

Did logo mockups in midjourney AI

Did website list mockups in midjourney AI

Rapidly iterated copy and cool sounding text with ChatGPT

Got font faces and style guides with ChatGPT

Got landing page code in React with ChatGPT

I can code. I would have been distracted by juggling all of the designers that I hired, so distracted that I probably would have hired a developer. Slowed down by 2-3 weeks waiting for acceptable output from the hired professionals, or discouraged and forgotten about this business idea.

I didnt lay off anybody, I also didnt hire anybody.

I looked up “prompt engineer” on fiverr just to see if that looked viable, its already oversaturated and nobody has orders in queue.

I think the “take our jobs” will start and be more pronounced with a silent lack of open positions.

Why did you use React for landing page?

One deck is made of wood. One deck is made made of steel. They will behave differently after years of weathering.

Just because they are both both decks doesn't mean they are the same.

Depends on the calculator. Floating point imprecision is well documented.

That's true. But we know exactly why it can't do it.

You’re an inspiration. I’m going to open an accounting firm and refuse to use calculators.

How often are calculators confidently wrong?
