If the web UI is exposed that could explain how it got infected:

In my case, web UI was behind qbittorrent auth + authelia, haven't seen suspected logs that would trace it back to that, really interesting though!

Are you saying you're unable to debug Rust in VSCode, or that it's lackluster to you?
tatoalo · 3 years ago
Lackluster from the (albeit) little time I’ve experienced it. For what’s worth, I’m on macOS and using LLDB

The authors praised Rust debugging capabilities (also) in VScode, can somebody point to some references on this? From what I’ve seen around and what I’m able to debug in my VScode environment I might be missing something…

This is something I’d love to try on my personal projects.

I recently used act[0] to locally test my GitHub actions pipelines and worked okay, the fact that I could interact with the Dagger API via a Python SDK could be even more convenient, will definitely try!

I've tried both render and fly.io, finally settled with fly. Love the DX!

This is interesting, I have talked about this on my blog[1] where I have linked to Jonathan Blow's famous talk.

I guess that we stopped caring about performance in software a while ago...

> For most software, functionality, signing up for a subscription, platform availability etc are usually prioritized higher than response times and keyboard shortcuts.

This is why I love working in fintech. The engineering is paramount. Customers will not accept slow or buggy software.

I get to solve hard problems, and really build systems from the ground up. My managers understand that it is better to push back a deadline than to ship something that isn't up to standard.

You must be lucky, not everywhere in the sector that’d be remotely close to true unfortunately…
