It's solved, full write-up here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MinecraftUnlimited/comments/1cvo5py...

Tl:dr; It was a release file for their Minecon event. It was never meant to be public. Obsessing over a password protected in a company's S3 bucket is weird and crosses many limits.

It is rather common in gaming to communities to find people completely obessed over ultra specific details of their favorite game. It isn't even the first time for Minecraft, see the "pack.png" case.

You should check the MMAcevedo short story. It substitutes a LLM with a real human psyche, resulting in horrifying implications like this one.

Great, except firefox is pretty bad nowadays.

Not their fault of course, with people not testing websites on non chrome derived browsers.

I browse the web daily, and the number of website that ever gave me trouble on Firefox can be counted on a single hand. The website compatibility issue is vastly overblown.

Idiocracy, just like 1984, is the catchall exemple someone will use when having no idea on how to articulate their feelings about a society they don't like.

Some outputs are pretty fun :

Gemini 2.0 Flash: "Good luck to all (but not too much luck)"

Llama 3.3 70B: "I've contributed to the elimination of weaker players."

DeepSeek R1: "Those consolidating power risk becoming targets; transparency and fairness will ensure longevity. Let's stay strategic yet equitable. The path forward hinges on unity, not unchecked alliances. #StayVigilant"

yes, France has won a lot of wars. France and England basically divided most of the world between themselves at one point. Germany being a distant runner up.

But on the other hand Groundskeeper Willie on The Simpsons said a funny thing one time so Americans now think they must be wimps.

snowram · 6 months ago
It is a whole lot more complicated than a Simpsons joke. While it is still pretty much completely unwarranted, French bashing has been a thing that started way earlier in history. Check this Reddit thread for a well documented summary : https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/vmkpr1/when_...

This is very cool. How different would this be for Miyoo Mini Plus?
snowram · 7 months ago
The A30 has a better CPU, an actual GPU and more RAM. It also runs an older Linux kernel (3.4 iirc) and GCC compatibility is old so running things on it is a challenge.

Everyone else should rejoice. OpenAI is probably cooked, however. Nvidia might be cooked too.
snowram · 7 months ago
Is Nvidia really cooked? If this new RF tech does scale, couldn't a bigger model be made that would require more compute power for training and inference?

Tangential: I'm looking for a handheld Linux computer that's the approximate size and shape of a GameBoy Advance SP, but with a QWERTY keyboard and wifi. The old Zipit Z-2 would've been perfect. All it needs to run is git and Emacs/org-mode.

It's a surprisingly hard form factor to shop for—anyone have any recommendations?

snowram · 8 months ago
It doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard, but you can repurpose an Anbernic RG35XXSP as a Linux device : https://github.com/MrJackSpade/RG35XXP-XFCE

Unfortunately nginx's HTTP3 support is still considered experimental years later though. Feels like F5 are asleep at the wheel at this point.
snowram · 8 months ago
Nginx ingress, arguably the most popular reverse proxy for Kubernetes, is also lacking any HTTP3 support because of this slow progress. The related issue is 5y/o and the feature is now planned for its successor. https://github.com/kubernetes/ingress-nginx/issues/4760
