I wish it was easy to find out how much it costs relative to Claude :)
sebdufbeau · 4 months ago
As a stealth model, it was priced as $1.25M in / $10M out

Right now, it seems free when you are a Cursor Pro user, but I'd love more clarity on how much it will cost (I can't believe it'll be unlimited usage for subscribers)

Couldn't find the info quickly, is the stealth model cheetah they had a few weeks ago their new Composer 1 model? If not, who's was it?

Edit: yes it was: https://x.com/amanrsanger/status/1983581288755032320

Has the API rollout started? It's not available in our org, even if we've been verified for a few months

EDIT: It's out now

I joined a project last year which uses Konva inside an Angular application. It was my first time doing any kind of canvas programming, but the ergonomics of konva can be picked up quite rapidly and I've been enjoying quite a lot.

We're working on performance-sensitive project, so one lesson we learned is that all shapes listen to all mouse events by default. We didn't even have lots of shapes, but this was enough to have a noticeable performance hit due to all the event handlers being registered. We pivoted to an opt-in approach instead and that fixed most of our problems.

From Reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/UpliftingNews/comments/1i1uvjq/scam...

French start up Find My Scammer carried out the investigation pro bono as the victim has literally no money left in her account, not even a cent.

Victim had no experience whatsoever with social media before creating an Instagram account in 2023 to share holiday pictures.

Victim was targeted after liking pictures related to Brad Pitt on Instagram.

Victim was in the midst of a divorce before being contacted by scammer.

Victim was groomed for months and months by scammer passing themselves as Pitt's mother, agent, etc, in addition to Pitt himself, using American phone numbers, fake articles, etc.

Victim had no knowledge of technologies such as deepfake.

Victim was lulled into a sense of security as grooming lasted for many months before she was asked to send money for the first time, thinking that such a scam would be more immediate.

Victim has HIV and cancer, tried to end her life three times.

French TV program which revealed the story accused of manipulating the subject matter and misrepresent facts to encourage ridicule against victim, has been pulled off all platforms.

Scammer found in Benin, was tricked into clicking a link which gave start up full access to his computer, phone, information, living address, etc. Crypto wallet where the stolen money is stored found. All information in the hands of authorities investigating the crime.

Scammer has over 30 victims. Also poses as fake Keanu Reeves.

An important point in the story: while she was contacted by the scammers when she was still married, it is after the divorce that she received most of the money that was eventually scammed - over €700k

I currently use SWR. Is there a reason to choose tanstack query over SWR? A cursory look shows them to be near identical in scope, but tanstack is ~3x the bundled size. AFAICS there isnt anything that SWR doesnt support either OOTB or via minor modification to the fetcher (e.g. cancellable requests).
sebdufbeau · 2 years ago
How are you comparing bundle sizes? I know that the reported size on some sites like Bundlephobia for v5 is bigger than reality:

Yes, I'm using it. I first started using Spotify for podcasts but those idiots (sorry Spotify) don't let you disable the auto play so it automatically starts a new podcast after you finish one. At least on the free tier. I then switched to Google. The reason I care is that I often listen to podcasts when I'm in bed at night as it helps me sleep.
sebdufbeau · 2 years ago
For me, Spotify on Mobile has a sleep timer functionality and one of the options of "End of episode". I do have premium so cannot confirm if it exists on the free tier.
