In the video you show a 2D mask to blur diagonal lines. How is that mask applied to the DFT? Is the mask also converted to a DFT and the two signals get combined?
Just remove anything under the mask basically, similar to a low pass filter.

If anyone wants to learn about the 2D DFT, the best explanation I've ever read was the relevant chapter in Digital Image Processing by Nick Efford.

That Mac Pro is such an amazing design, truly a classic! I have a few retro Macs but that is one I would like to add one from that era my collection - it's just a matter of space because they are pretty big!
Thinking of the Pro though, I really do find it very odd what Apple are doing with the current Mac Pro at the moment. Literally all people want is basically a Mac Studio in a bigger chassis with just two extra things - replaceable drives, and two to four PCIe slots for professional audio interface cards, SDI video capture/playout cards, etc... Ideally rack-mountable too.
The Mac Pro is just so overkill in some ways but limited in others, and way too expensive - it just misses what people want and need on every axis...
Have you looked at the Mac Pro Rack version?

I bought a MacBook last year. The amount of stupid bugs is insane. Safari eating text input, Safari simply not connecting to internet after several days (while chrome is working well). I have to restart my Mac more often than I had to restart my last Windows machine, because it simply grinds to a halt (with a frickin' M4 Max processor)
Yea, Safari 26.1 is really buggy for me on macOS 15. Google searching the issue, lots of my issues are fixed int he 26.2 beta, I had to download beta from apple developer website.
I once had to deal with an old website that ignored the orientation flag in jpg, so my iPhone portrait photos showed up landscape when I uploaded them.
Thankfully Finder in macOS has a way to remove the flag:

Learning about Fourier is really interesting in image processing, I'm glad I found a good textbook explaining it.
I must admit I haven't really tried it, but what's wrong with hooking up an Android phone to a Mac? Can't you browse files like you can on other computers?
I don't think using ADB is the right way to go about it. Normalizing elevated shell permissions just to copy files just feels like going the wrong way about it. Unless that's the only way to get decent Android file management done on Mac, of course.

What really grinds my gears is that I have devices that only work with AFT and not OpenMTP. Like my Hisense A9. Because AFT will crash if you try to transfer hundreds of files. I wish I could get rid of AFT but I can't

Amazon has a great MTP app but it only works with Kindles.
Mount a Windows 11 ISO. Open an administrative command window. Navigate to the new drive letter. Enter this command:

The install window will say server but it isn't.
