With Operation Chokepoint over, the DEA/FDA still have colluded to prevent the kratom industry from processing credit cards. For my website www.getkratom.com, we take checks, echecks, and cryptocurrency. Sales are about 1/3 of what they were when we were able to take credit cards.

Really bitcoin is pretty bad at everything except atomic transfers.
Bitcoin is shit at loans, it's shit at writing wills, it's shit at scheduling payments, it's shit at offering shorts, it's shit at offering options, it's shit at providing oracles etc.
If cash were invented today, it would be illegal. For most small payments if not large transfers, in the USA consumers actually have the right to transact anonymously. Tracking micropayments publicly forever on a blockchain seems like a step backwards. Being able to track large transfers on a blockchain is one of the benefits of living in the world where the Byzantine General's Problem has been solved.
