Really wish they had shared more details. It was so high-level that we didn't really learn anything substantive.

It's nonsense, for example there is no "I used pure water in the input to the process" exemption; why would there be, the output is what matters. And I believe even unprocessed potable water can be illegal to dump due to the presence of chlorine/fluorine.

They say they are collecting the water, not dumping it. They say they even collect rain water that lands in the ponds in case it is contaminated.

Gattaca, because so many people limit themselves by what they think is possible.

Great. Now Samsung can put these on my Frame TV and charge me $5.99 a month for the privilege of accessing them.

(EDIT: To clarify, my comment is only a response to "not that easy to find Elixir devs for a startup")

---

I don't speak for anyone except myself and a few acquaintances but I wouldn't accept an offer to work on a startup with Elixir unless we're talking at least $15,000 a month or more. And even then it depends a lot on team and company culture. I am tired of sprinting without that ever being connected to me getting extra cash or even recognition.

Elixir and Phoenix are productive as hell but they also need deliberate approach and not everything should be done quickly. Requiring me to churn out 3-5 features a week in the first 6 months is the best way for me to hand my resignation a mere two weeks after starting.

Sorry, you might not have had this in mind, I am just reacting to your text.

But rest assured, ElixirForum has quite a few people who would grab an Elixir job if given the opportunity, some for as low as $2500 a month even. And most people frequenting the forum mostly check its own Jobs section. So if you really want to widen your options, definitely make a job ad post there.

Isn't this concern independent of the language?

Seems like the right call to me. I really know almost nothing about this case, but seems like gofundme isn't doing something illegal and the officer hasn't been convicted. Are folks presumed innocent in France? Even if he is convicted, does that blacklist his children as being unworthy of support?

What? What exactly is the benefit of SpaceX specifically? What was won here? Is there a point at which it starts being a large price?

If we don't know the impact of it on the habitat, how is it a "small price"?

rio517 · 3 years ago
No everyone is aware, but SpaceX mass to orbit is close to the rest of the world put together. Hey are massively reducing costs to access space. The point of the starship is to continue to reduce costs.
