Dart is such an amazing language. I really wish it gained traction in more industries.

I preordered a Vita back in the day and when I got it I immediately fell in love with it. It fits in a pocket and it has way better analogue sticks than that garbage the PSP had.

I still use it to this day because I can't fit my Steam Deck in my pocket.

And I concur that its potential did kinda go to waste. Imagine if we had Shadow of the Colossus and Demon's Souls available on it.

Check out Ayn Odin 2 Mini, it's an Android handheld with a PS Vita design, you can use it to emulate lots of games too (including Vita using Vita3k emulator).

Allowing alternative app stores and browsers is likely to lead to more security issues, more users using tech support resources because a dodgy app downloaded from a 3rd party app store they installed broke their phone in odd ways and will likely increase expenses without increasing revenue.

Because let's be honest, most of the population does not even understand the idea of "app store" beyond THE app store the same way they don't understand the idea of "search engine" beyond Google Search. If Chrome only allowed you to use Google Search as the search engine, most people wouldn't complain. This is the same. As long as they can download their [insert Big Tech Company here] walled garden app, most will not complain. But if their phone starts misbehaving because of a rogue app from a dodgy app store or phones suddenly get more expensive to compensate for higher costs incurred by Apple for their development and support of third party app stores and browsers most will complain.

UPDATE: getting downvoted for pointing out the reality. Most people are not hackers. They don't want customisation options. They are happy with a default store or browser as long as it is good enough. If you want options, Android is there

What you're saying is not happening on macOS so what is your argument really?

Maybe I'm getting cynical but in terms of longevity, I don't know how long JetBrains will be around and I'm not trusting Google to maintain a project for a long time. Can't believe I'm saying this but for perennial projects in that sphere, Java seems like the better option :/

I trust JetBrains way more than Google to keep products around

If running a moonlight client on one becomes possible, I might be actually interested in buying one, just for casual gaming at home. The Steam Deck looks great but is pretty expensive and a little overkill when I could just stream from my desktop to a less powerful device.

No idea why you guys put up with this bullshit. I use Safari on macOS, it works great. I use Firefox on my Windows PC, it works great.

I won't switch from neovim but I gave this a try and I quite like it. It really is very fast and snappy. If I were using VS Code I would've switched to this one.

> Instead of remembering cryptic commands

I use vim and nothing about its commands are "cryptic" to me. You want to "go to definition"? You press "gd" as in "(g)o to (d)efinition". What's cryptic about this?
