The issue is not if the fund is needed or not, it is that congress never specified how much the Universal Service Fund tax would be. The FCC keeps raising the tax rate. 10% of your mobile phone bill now goes to this fund that seems was decided by bureaucrats at the FCC and not by Congress. If the court strikes it down, then Congress will have to step in, which seems appropriate.

Compared to say the 70s, the 90s was pretty bleak. A bit of good grunge, a bit of good hiphop, and then it all sort of fizzled out. At least in europe/uk you had the explosion of electronic music and mdma and everyone having an amazing time. American kids growing up in the late 90s were robbed.

Using COP is a easy way to compare heat pump efficiency to conventional heating methods. It is a multiple of the amount of heat energy output given the electricity energy used. A fossil fuel boiler is always less than 1 (usually 0.6-0.8) since it is never 100% efficient at converting the fuel energy to heat energy. Your electric space heater has a COP of exactly 1. So when you see the COPs in the 4-6 range, you get a good sense of how much more efficient heat pumps are.
The COP for a heat pump drops as the temperature decreases. The climate should have a large impact on the choice of technology. Here in Florida it is a no brainer, everyone has a heat pump for the cool winter days. In Minnesota, it is a non starter.

It's a 2 hour battery with a dedicated cable and looks easily swappable in seconds.
The running time of the CD-ROM was designed to play Beethoven's 9th symphony in its entirety. You would have thought Apple would plan the battery life to allow you to watch all of Avengers: Endgame, or maybe Oppenheimer, without pausing to swap the battery.

good catch about needing 4 of them for a family... will they implement multiuser in vision OS or you will have to buy one for each member as you are supposed to do with the ipads?
I have to wonder about a device that won't allow you to watch a 2-hour movie without running out of battery and having to plug it in. I guess Oppenheimer is a no-go.

OMG, those barstools with the flat bottoms. Painful after 10 minutes. Who does this? I see this in co-working spaces all the time. Whoever designed them does not actually do any deep work. I just want a great chair and 3 monitors.

That should make it even easier. If it has been securitized, the value of that security is way below par value. For example, your $500,000 mortgage at 2.5% might only be worth $300,000 on the open market. Somebody could buy that mortgage backed bond for $300,000 and offer you a $500,000 mortgage at 4% in exchange, resell that mortgage for $400,000 and pocket the $100,000 difference.
If I understand correctly, this is how the Danish mortgage system works.
